Other Resources

For a textbook on the M language, we recommend the excellent M Programming: A Comprehensive Guide by Richard Walters.

For an authoritative definition of M, consult the standard itself: X11.1-1995 by the MUMPS Development Committee. The third edition of the 1995 standard, ISO/IEC 11756:1999, Information Technology–Programming Languages–M, is available from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
